In the parlance of today’s cyber world, it’s what is known as “TMI.”

Since beginning this blog, I’ve come to the realization that being a news junky has its down side, which is that the more information we possess, the more we have to worry about.

English poet Thomas Gray summed it up perfectly in 1742, when he wrote:

“Where ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.”

Still, I don’t see total ignorance as being particularly blissful . . . although I could be wrong.

It does seem to work for some people.
