Six years ago, when I moved from Virginia to Georgia — supposedly to spend the rest of my retirement years in peace and quiet — I thought it would be the last time I would ever have to go through that particular form of hell. But life is endlessly surprising . . . and here I am again, for a variety of reasons, packing up to return to the great Commonwealth of Virginia, where it turns out I really belong.
Sorry, Georgia . . . you’re lovely, but I’m a city girl. As it turns out, I find peace and quiet to be highly overrated; I like hustle and bustle. Also, about your climate: I miss having four annual seasons to look forward to, three of which are not hot and steamy. And politically . . . well, let’s just leave that subject for my regular posts, shall we?
About me

So keep your eye on this spot. I will be updating from time to time, with actual photos of my progress and comments on my mental condition as I once more try to pack my life into boxes.
Wish me luck.
