It’s the day before the U.S. midterm elections, and I, for one, will be thrilled when it’s over. No more campaign emails, texts, Facebook ads, and political phone calls.

I’ve already voted. But for those who still have to face the lines tomorrow, allow me to offer these words of a civil rights leader from my younger days:

“You’re not to be so blind with patriotism that you can’t face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it.”

– Malcolm X

Good advice. Please try to remember it when you fill out that ballot tomorrow.

Just sayin’ . . .
