It is incomprehensible; it is unspeakable; it defies all reason . . . even for Donald Trump.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Los Angeles yesterday, he said this about the cost of the war in Iran:

“It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping the country safe. They can take out a city, let ‘em take out Los Angeles, let ‘em take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay.” [Iris Kwok, et al., Los Angeles Times, October 5, 2026.]

And his audience of MAGA maniacs cheered.

Congress must put a stop to this madness NOW. There are legal, constitutional remedies available. No more excuses, no more “party loyalty.” The country simply will not survive another two years with this lunatic in charge.
