An eloquent response from Senator Mitch McConnell to reporters’ questions upon his return to work:

This is not meant to be funny or cruel. It is a serious matter, when a legislator who is clearly non-functional, and barely sentient, is propped up and told how to vote on matters of national importance.

From a legal standpoint, it is highly questionable at best. And from a personal point of view, it is despicable.

What is wrong with people today? How can this be allowed to continue? When will it stop?

No one knows. But November 3rd is just 36 days away. See you at the polls.
