At the United Nations General Assembly in New York this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was surrounded as he left the venue by a phalanx of journalists, including a few from the Russian media. As they followed him, they continued to shout, “Volodymyr Aleksandrovich, when are you going to Moscow?” “When are you heading to Moscow?” “When to Moscow?” [Kyiv Post, September 24, 2026.]

The questions were in reference to Vladimir Putin’s having just reiterated his demand that any face-to-face meeting with Zelensky would have to be held in Moscow, and not in a neutral location as the Ukrainian president had logically suggested.

For a while, Zelensky ignored the Russian reporters. But finally — more or less under his breath, and without breaking stride — he replied:

“On a f*cking missile!”

Politics aside, you really have to love the guy.
