A very long time ago, in a land far away, God gave Moses ten simple rules for His people to live by.

Those Ten Commandments began:

“I am the LORD your God . . .

“You shall have no other gods before me.”

-Exodus 20:2-3, NIV

Much more recently, shortly before James McCrery resigned as principal architect of Donald Trump’s controversial new White House ballroom, he told Trump of his concerns over safety code violations in the proposed plans.

But the all-knowing , almighty Trump dismissed the expert architect’s advice and overruled him, saying simply:

“I am the code.”
