While focusing today on the events of that other September 11th, twenty-five years ago, my thoughts turn — not to hatred and vengeance — but to kindness and empathy of the sort that is so sadly missing from our lives of late.
And surely there was never a kinder soul than the late Diana, Princess of Wales, whose philosophy of life might well be summed up in these few words:
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”

What a lovely world it would be . . .
Just sayin’ . . .
