I’m presently awaiting the arrival, in just a couple of hours, of a friend I haven’t seen for six years, though we’ve kept in touch by phone, text and email. She has been like a second daughter to me for about 30 years, and I’ve missed her terribly while I was living farther away.

But now that I’ve moved closer again, she is able to visit, and I’m excited to see her . . . we are so in sync about nearly everything, and we have six years to catch up on!

So I naturally chose “friendship” as the subject for today’s quote, and this one seemed perfect:
