While the people of Sumy slept in their homes in northeastern Ukraine last night, Vladimir Putin delivered this peace offering — not to a military installation or other strategic location, but to a strictly residential neighborhood.

And we’re supposed to believe him when he says he wants to end his “special military operation.”

There is nothing “special” about Putin’s “operation.” It is a war — the longest war in Europe since World War II — and it is designed to extinguish an entire civilization . . . one that predates the existence of Russia itself, and actually gave birth to Putin’s country.

It is devastating; it is inhumane; it is blatantly illegal; and it must be ended, before it inevitably spreads throughout Europe. Putin cannot — MUST NOT — be placated any longer.

Are you listening, Donald Trump? Or have you — in your obsession with Iran, Cuba, Greenland, and the building of monuments to yourself — forgotten your real job?
