Alien invasions. Climate change denial. Children being allowed to make their own life-altering decisions. Underwear as clothing. A convicted felon in the White House. “Jewish space lasers” blamed for California wildfires. Fake money. All sorts of crap on the internet. Artificial intelligence being misused. The price of eggs. A convicted felon in the White House.

I could go on . . . and on . . . and on. But why bother? If you’re reading this, you probably have a functioning brain so you already know what I’m talking about.
It’s a stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid world out there. (That’s a play on a great old movie title, by the way.)
Old Will Shakespeare said it best: “… all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death.” We’ve learned nothing from the past; life is indeed “a tale told by an idiot.” *
So why don’t we try to fix it? Let’s be smarter this year. Please??
