It’s wet out there, folks!

(Note: The above picture was not taken in our immediate neighborhood, but apparently somewhere in the county.)

Some of our neighbors have had drainage and spillover problems, but for the most part, we’re doing okay. And we’re lucky to be in a neighborhood where people jump in to help each other in times like this.

Nearly everything is shut down today, other than emergency and “essential” services. Schools are scheduled to open for the new academic year on Thursday; that remains to be seen.

It’s one of those times when life seems to be suspended in midair, waiting to hit the ground running again when the signal is given.

And I just keep writing . . .
